Applying for Multinational or International Companies

Dear Visitors,

Hope that you are doing great, and enjoying great health

Well, today I wanted to talk about what are the requirements to apply for a multinational or an international company

Before you apply for an International Company, make sure you leave a good impression, and this is done by

First of All, You have to make sure you are totally ready for applying for an International Company

Here's the Checklist you should take care of

  • You are fluent in one foreign language at least
  • Have a Good CV, and a Good Cover Letter
  • You are professional in MS Office
  • You know well about your field ( if you lack experience) , Or you are experienced but staying up-to-date as well
  • And Most Importantly , is to prepare for their tests

Company Tests may include but not exclusive to :
  • Problem Solving Test ( as in P&G) also referred to as Reasoning test
  • Standard Progressive matrices Test
  • Aptitude Test
  • IQ Test
  • English Test
  • Numerical Reasoning
  • Or A Combination of All
And Actually, If you just prepared for the GMAT ( Graduate Management Admission Test ) test, Just a preparation not having the test, It will help you passing these tests

Once you have these requirements fulfilled, Next step is applying for the company of your dreams. Application steps can be one or more of the following steps:

  • Walk-In, ( meaning, you go to the company yourself and drop a copy of your CV )
  • Sending CV by e-mail
  • Submitting your resume on their website ( Careers section of the website )
  • Recruitment Website
  • Job Fair
  • Etc.
Whether you meet the criteria required for the job announced, or you are applying for an open vacancy, You will be contacted soon to sit for a Test, if you are applying when the time is right . Some Multinationals and International companies make tests 4 times a year, others only make twice or once a year.

ISA, You will be lucky enough to pass the test, then comes the time of the interview, when they have a job that meets your needs and qualifications

You should be doing your homework, Before sitting for an Interview and this is done by  :-

  2. Read about the company's culture and link that to how you can be of added value to them
  3. Make some rehearsals before the Interview, about answering questions as
    1. What are your strength and weakness points ?
    2. How can you be of added value to our company ?
    3. What IF Situations ...
  4. Prepare to ask some questions by the end of the Interview ( Ex. When should I expect to know the result of this Interview ? )

During the Interview:
  1. Arrive Early
  2. Make your introduction and greeting memorable.
  3. Use body language that shows you are enthusiastic, confident, and comfortable with the interview process.
  4. Show professionalism, don't say anything negative about your previous employers, manager or co-worker
  5. Be yourself, but only up to a point.

  8. Thanks everyone for your feedbacks,

I would like to make some additional comments though,
Replying on Sameh, in Multinationals, and Internationals, Employees do work with these skills, they need intelligent and creative people to work for them, that's why they get around 3000 or 3500 as a starting salary here in Egypt.

And By the way, As you mentioned that you can establish your own business, If you think you can do that using only these skills, then I'm sorry, But you are mistaken , You need at least a triple of the skills listed above to start your own business

  10. Dear Ahmed,

@ Sameh , sorry to say that if u can do your own business, why u didnt till now? & sorry to say also if u havent all this skills or even some of it ...so if u can do your own business, believe me it ll not success (as i know some ppls did this before)......anyway, God bless you.
