Never Stop .... Learning !!

In today's world, when everyday a new invention comes to live, and new technologies is the pace of this time,
Never Stop Learning


The Majority of people now who start working in a company replace the feeling of insecurity  by the feeling of security, that they will stay for long. But, this feeling is not correct, it gives a temporary feeling of security that they stop updating themselves. 

( A little Complicated ?? Alright, I will give you an example )

Mr. Kareem is working for XYZ Co. in the IT Department for more than 7 years now .. There are three scenarios we can imagine here

1. Kareem's Co. used to give him courses one course a year, with totally no contribution from his side, which helped making him up-to-date with the IT field and updates
2. Kareem's Co. didn't give him courses. So, Kareem started to take courses though he paid the money from his own pocket, he stayed up-to-date
3. Kareem didn't take courses at his company, nor took courses from his own money ..

Let's Study these 3 scenarios, assuming the International Financial Crisis took place, the company had to shut-down, lay-off employees, downsize, or outsource.

In the first two scenarios, Kareem will find another job very easliy because he has been doing his homework, and was ready for such a thing, and can present a competitve candidate when he applies for any company. And this is the successful model ( Which is not our concern in this article)

The Last Scenario, Kareem didn't take courses, he was fired because the co. did bankrupt, Kareem will have to look for another Job, and each time he sends his CV, he never gets a feedback, nor response from any employer .. Kareem is 7 years OLD in a field that is very active, dynamic and needs continuous updates and improvements and he will need at least one year to compensate the obselete information he had and replace it with up-to-date knowledge, knowing that he may be unemployed till he finishes his courses after one year ..

Lessons Learnt from this story:

• Never Ever Stop Learning, Always keep updated and tuned with everything new in your field, even if you had to pay for your learning or education, even if it costs you much money, because you will benefit by the end of it
• We should never feel secured because we have a job now, you never know what's next, you should always feel insecured, so you can take precautions and make preventive plans to avoid being unemployed
